Diablo 4: Is Druid OP?

Overall, Diablo 4 was a huge success for developer Blizzard Entertainment. It's already the best-selling game in the franchise's history, and with the first season just around the corner, Blizzard is well-positioned for a long-tail game. That said, it's not without its issues, especially with the druid class. The class recently had problems with loot tables not working properly, but Blizzard has since fixed those issues. However, some players are now showing that this class might be a bit too powerful.

In fact, a recent video uploaded by Twitch streamer Moxsy shows him doing 1.8 billion damage in a single attack. This clip was first spotted by Game Rant, so it goes without saying that it's a good deal. The way Moxsy achieves this is through what he calls a "Lightning Shred 2.0" build. Moxsy also uploaded a YouTube video explaining how the build works, but basically it shatters an enemy's health with lightning, making it easier to deal several stacks of damage and crit. The hero damage surge can instantly kill any enemy.

It will be interesting to see if Blizzard fixes this in a patch. Obviously, such damage output is way ahead of most other classes, and druids using this build are properly overpowered. That said, we already know that Blizzard wants players to play a little OP. Because the first season introduced new gameplay elements that everyone can do. That said, this version may not be the version Blizzard wants players to use in Diablo 4, so some nerfs may be implemented in the next few days as part of a patch released prior to Season 1 .

Speaking of first seasons, Diablo 4 Season 1 launches on July 20 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. As mentioned above, a patch will be released a few days before that, and the update will add all the changes to the Eternal Realms. Unfortunately, Blizzard wasn't able to establish a leaderboard until Season 1, so eager players will have to wait a little longer to see their ranks.
